Mr. Muhammad Tariq Haq has been at the forefront of Pakistan’s power generation sector since 1993. With a background in mechanical engineering from NED and an MBA in Marketing from IBA, he founded Energy Solutions Private Limited (ESL) with a vision to bring world-class energy solutions to the local market.

Under his leadership, ESL introduced globally recognized brands like Cummins Power Generation and Aksa Power Generation from the ground up, establishing their footprint across diverse sectors. He played a pivotal role in identifying product-market fit and building a core client base that helped scale operations nationwide. His early leadership roles at Cummins Pakistan and Philips Lighting equipped him with rare operational depth and commercial acumen

Mr. Haq is known for his deep focus on management, operations and training. His commitment to safety culture and continuous learning has transformed ESL into a trusted name in the diesel and gas power landscape. Beyond operations, he actively advocates for team development and industry-wide awareness around safe engineering practices.

He continues to steer ESL with a growth mindset—ensuring that performance, ethics and innovation remain central to the company’s journey.

Died in a tragic car accident while on official duty, Junaid was just 37 years old when he passed away on October 19, 2017. He had served the organization with unwavering dedication for 10 years, setting high benchmarks through his own example and leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire.

He joined ESL at the young age of 26 and quickly rose to prominence, holding several key portfolios and playing vital roles across multiple domains. Junaid was remarkably industrious, versatile, and principled—a man of integrity and unwavering commitment. He also introduced a culture of philanthropy within the organization and played a pivotal role in enabling the company to operate and grow without relying on traditional bank financing.

Though his time with us lasted just a decade, his contributions propelled the company decades ahead. We proudly remember his tenure as one of the finest chapters in our journey and pray to the Almighty to reward him for his sincerity and place his pure soul in eternal peace. Amen.
