Telenor Group — Global GFA Installations & Legacy Projects
Through the Global Frame Agreement (GFA) between Telenor Group and AKSA Power Generation, Turkey, Energy Solutions Private Limited (ESL) has played a key role in strengthening power infrastructure across multiple international markets.
Under this global partnership, ESL delivered 350+ installations worldwide, supplying mission-critical generator sets and engineered power solutions designed to support Telenor’s high-availability telecom operations
Legacy Projects for Former Telenor Pakistan (Now Acquired by PTCL
ESL also served as a major power partner to Telenor Pakistan during its operational tenure in the country, prior to its acquisition by PTCL. Over the course of this engagement, ESL supplied 38 MW+ of power capacity, including 1,800+ generator sets deployed nationwide across network sites, switching centers and critical facilities.
This long-standing partnership also included the deployment of 2 × 2250 kVA Data Center Containerized (DCC) solutions—one for Karachi and one for Lahore—along with multiple additional installations supporting Telenor Pakistan’s telecom infrastructure.
Data Center Installations
For Telenor’s Karachi Data Center, ESL supplied and commissioned a 2250 kVA AKSA Uptime certified generator set powered by a Cummins QSK60-G4 (UK-origin) engine with a Stamford PI734 alternator, enclosed within an imported 65 dB AKSA acoustic canopy designed for superior noise reduction.
A matching 2250 kVA configuration was deployed at the Lahore Data Center to maintain unified performance, redundancy and operational consistency across both mission-critical sites.
Engineering Support & Training
Beyond equipment supply and installation, ESL was entrusted with system integration, commissioning, performance overhauls and technical upgrades across multiple locations.
ESL also designed and delivered customized five-day technical training programs over two consecutive years, training 500+ engineers, technicians and vendor teams across Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad to elevate operational capability and standardize best practices.
A Partnership That Spanned Global & Local Impact
While Telenor Pakistan has since transitioned under PTCL’s ownership, the work completed under the GFA—and the nationwide power infrastructure deployed during its operational years—stands as a major testament to ESL’s engineering strength and long-term commitment to mission-critical power solutions for the Telenor Group.
